Touch Screen Glass Question

Post by justinlemus » Mon Dec 10, 2018 5:59 am

I'm at the research stage of developing a new hardware product (that is controlled with an app). The the concept for hardware component is basically a touch screen monitor, but with clear "tiles" covering the top of the monitor glass. The question...

How would it be possible to allow each tile to be touch responsive? I've made a couple prototype tiles out of protective cell phone glass, except it's too thin. Ideally, I'd like each tile to be at least 1/16 inch off the glass.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions/input. Thanks!
